Welcome to the CHS Alumni "satellite" site where we can post photos, articles, your news,
your photos and make instant edits and corrections much faster than on the main site. For those of you checking out this site please note that there are several "navigational" tips.

When you click on the "All-Class Reunion '03 Photos" or the "Yearbook Mystery Photos" categories
in the top left column you will see a page of photographs (thumbnails). There are actually two pages
in the "All-School Reunion 2003" album and it is hard to see how to get to the second page so click on "next" at the top left of the first photo to see those on the "second page." Click on the small photos (thumbnails) to see enlarged photos and in some cases photo captions. Also, there is a dialogue box where you can comment or add I.D.s or additional quips and quotes. To do so you must click on "Create Reader Account" (upper left column) which is free and fill out the form to become "interactive" in a very simple and speedy process. This is a one-time only requirement and you will able to leave messages and comments at any time.

If you visit some of the alumni web sites listed on the left column lower below (which we encourage you to do) ...and want to return to this site... go to "History" and/or "Back" on your browser to revist this site.

If you have come to this link from the main web site and want to return to it
click on the link "Offical CHS Alumni Site" in the left column.

Also, if you have a web site you would like to add to the "Alumni Web Logs" favorites
section (left hand column, lower bottom) let us know your address (URL). There already is an ever
expanding alumni web site directory on the "Alumni Web Sites" link. Check it out. These sites reflect an amazing diversity of enterprises and interests of CHS alumni

Another way to leave feedback, comments or contact info is to go the the "Membership" link at:
http://www.CarmelHighAlumni.org and fill out the form. There is a "dialogue"
box there to add Class Notes items about yourselves or classmates.

We encourage you to fill out the Membership form so that you will be registered
for alumni mailings and ultimately the All-School Alumni Directory. In addition,
click on "Continue" to choose your membership category and pay for membership
dues on.line.

Membership dues in some part help underwrite the hosting, posting, administration,
and editing of these websites and "administration" of a 3,500 and growing master data base. In addition, membership dues support the production and mailing of periodic newsletters, underwrite alumni events and will add to the support of campus beautification and alumni sponsored projects.

Yours in ComPADREship!

Michael Gahagan '58

P.S. Let me know what you think. E.mail: MichaelGahagan@CarmelHighAlumni.org

Carmel High School Alumni came "home" from all over the U.S. and even
Canada to join in the All-Classes Reunion for Homecoming Weekend (Nov. 7-9).

Who said "you can't go home again?" They were not disappointed. Even the
weather cooperated with sun streaming through scattered rain clouds
beginning with the Homecoming parade through downtown Carmel Friday afternoon.

The Carmel High School Alumni Association banner-holding parade team
of Jon Stufloten '58, John Schiffeler '58, Lacy Williams Buck '58, Roger Fremier '58,
Ruth Rogers Daskaloff '58, Mike Gahagan '58 and Connie O'Connor '59 "held the Alumni Association banner high" leading the current classes of 2004-2007 floats along the parade route Friday afternoon.

Saturday, the Padre's varsity football team set the
tone with a dominating win (39-8) over the Robert Lewis Stevenson Pirates giving close to 250 alums cause to "party hearty" at a post-game celebration gathering at the Carmel Youth Center which included a barbecue dinner for 200 produced by Mitch Kastros '69 (aka Joe Beef Gourmet Foods).

Sunday, alums were treated to a tour by Carmel Mayor Sue McCloud ( CHS Class '52)
of the newly rennovated Sunset Center where many of those present attended
the facility when it was an elementary school.

After revisiting Sunset School memories, the Class of 1960 arranged for a brunch
for a number of reunion weekend participants at the American Legion Hall to finish off
the weekend events.

Alumni from Florida, Virginia, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, South Carolina,
Alaska, Arizona and Canada added a diverse range of geographical representation at the
annual event.

Thanks You's to the Board of Directors of the Carmel High School Alumni Association
(Kim Spindler Wright '72, President; Jean Borgman Westcott '62, Treasurer;
Clyde Klaumann, 57, Historian; Ward Gillette '71, Robert Haller '87, Pam Baldwin Klaumann '66, Dick Lawitzke (former CHS faculty), Glenn McKee '67, Carol Stewart '62, Pete Thatcher'42 and George (Bud) Westcott '59; Connie O'Connor '59, Membership Chair and Michael Gahagan '58, Executive Director and the Board of Directors of the Carmel Youth Center and Kelley Lapai, CYC Director.

Event photos (taken by Steve Gann '59, Mike Gahagan '58 and Wendy Wiegman '60) have been posted on this site (click on: All-School Reunion 2003 - upper left column under "topics") and some will be posted on the CHSAA web site: http://www.CarmelHighAlumni.org along with the web site's expanded 63-years of class lists and alumni web site directory.

Additional postings on the CHSAA main web site include "Memory Lane," "Padre Gear," PDF files of pages of past newsletters, links to former alumni with web sites, e.mail links to classmates, class representative listings and class reunion contacts for the classes scheduled for 2004 reunions (1944-60th, 1949-55th, 1954-50th, 1959-45th, 1964-40th, 1969-35th, 1974-30th, 1979-25th, 1984-20th, 1989-15th, 1994-10th and 1999-5th).

A "Membership" link on the Official CHSAA web site (see link on Alumni Web Logs
to left) can now be accessed to register and pay for the five categories of dues, donate to memorials and contributions for specified alumni association programs — all on a secure on.line payment processing service.
